Module 5
Planning
The plan is to use two or three hours to create a simple story with one of the tools I used in module 4. I asked the sixth-grade teacher to use her pupils. Since I’m also attending a course about cooperative learning I asked them to work in groups. I used only English as a language class.
Design
I showed them what I created in module 4 as examples and I asked them to create a comic strip and a voicethread.
Implementation
What I asked was too much. After finishing the comic strip they were completely overwhelmed. It took about one hour and a half and then they sang a karaoke for the other teacher. I thought they would be more motivated with a creative task. Some of them were lost, others did nothing. I would say none of them enjoyed the task. However, it was effective and those are the results:
Personally, I think the first one is the best and the last one the worst.
Assessment.
I handed out a rubric (See the one I attach) and show them a kahoot that reproduce the rubric but the teamwork in there. Since they can not take the phone to the school I asked them to copy the pin to their diaries and completed at home. They have done it late and some of them have not.
